Brain Injury Awareness Week

‘Falls–related traumatic brain injury’

Please find the information about our next Information Session it will be held during Brain Injury Awareness Week 16-22 August 2010

On Monday 16 August 2010 between 10-12midday in the Civic Area, City of Onkaparinga.

The week will have a national theme highlighting ‘falls’ which are emerging as a significant cause of brain injury, especially among older Australians.  read more »

Art Cafe`

You are invited to the Art Cafe´

The program is for people with dementia living in the community and their carers.

Art Café provides a supportive social environment where people can meet for coffee whilst exploring the arts.

The Art Café will be held at: Broughton Art Studio, 269 Fullarton Road, Parkside (the large shed on the oval opposite the Arkaba Shopping Centre)

2pm – 4pm on 8, 15, 22 and 29 July

Bookings are essential: Call 1800 100 500

Cost: $2.50 per person

The ACE program is a 10 week mental fitness training program, incorporating a variety of challenging mental exercises, puzzles and games, along with training in a number of memory strategies.
